Dera has worked with children and their parents, adolescents and adults for more than 30 years in settings that have included, primary and secondary schools, Hospital wards and community based work in areas of social disadvantage. She also worked in the Australian outback for 12 years running a pre-school for children with diverse cultural backgrounds.
She qualified as a psychotherapist in 2010 and describes this as "the best way she could use her life experiences to continue to work supportively with people"
Dera takes a humanistic and integrative approach and this means that she believes that you know yourself best. Therapy will support you to express your feelings and thoughts and to explore what you need in your life to support you going forward.

Advanced Cert Jungian Sand tray therapy
CPD has included Solution Focused Therapy and CBT.
Dera is also an accredited clinical supervisor with the European association for integrative Psychotherapy and IAPTP, providing support to other therapists.
